What is the difference between the aluminum and sterling silver cuffs?
Aluminum is a soft lightweight metal. This makes it easier to bend then the sterling silver cuffs. Sterling Silver is a heavier metal that holds its shape better than aluminum. The sterling silver has a more polished look than the aluminum.
What are the care tips for my piece?
Apply beauty products such as perfume and hairspray before wearing your jewelry as the chemicals in these products can damage the finish on your item.
Always remove your jewelry before swimming, bathing, or doing household chores where the items may be exposed to chemicals.
If your jewelry does get wet make sure it is completely dry before storing.
Do not use jewelry cleaner on your jewelry. Instead, use a lint-free cloth to gently polish the piece to avoid scratching.
How should I care for my brass cuff?
We use untreated and uncoated brass for our cuff bracelets. This metal naturally turns darker when exposed to the air and can also interact with the chemicals in your skin. Most people accept the color change as part of owning brass jewelry but you can keep them polished with a polishing pad or brass polish.
Some people can have a reaction to these metals that will cause their skin to turn green. The green color is not harmful and will wash off. If this occurs a simple fix is coating the metal with clear nail polish to create a barrier between the metal and your skin.
